Our Approach: Built From Real Experience. Designed for Real Care.

The Story Behind DayGuide

DayGuide AI was founded by Mark Simmons Jr, Managing Director at Attentive Adult Day Center. Working directly in a real care environment every day, one thing became clear quickly: planning engaging activities for participants and residents is one of the most demanding parts of the job.

It takes constant time, energy, and creativity to come up with new activities every single day. Over time, it is easy to hit a wall where ideas run dry — but the expectation to keep participants and residents engaged never stops.

There are not many tools built specifically to support activity directors in a practical, day-to-day way. So DayGuide AI was built — not as a theoretical exercise, but as a real solution to a real problem faced every single day.

DayGuide AI was built from the ground up to reduce planning time, remove creative bottlenecks, and make it easier for staff to focus on what matters most: connecting with the people in your care. Because when activity directors have more time and less stress, participants and residents get better engagement and more meaningful experiences.

The same problem doesn't stop at the facility door. Families caring for aging parents or loved ones with dementia at home face the exact same challenge — figuring out what to do every day to keep their loved one engaged, stimulated, and connected. And they often have even fewer resources to turn to.

The Why Behind It

The issue is not a lack of care or effort. It is that planning is repetitive and time consuming, new ideas are constantly required, staff are balancing multiple responsibilities, and families at home carry that same daily burden — alone, without a team or system to lean on.

This leads to less time spent actually engaging with participants and residents, which is the part that matters most. Staff end up spending more time on admin and planning than on meaningful interactions. The quality of care doesn't decrease because of lack of care — it decreases because the system demands too much upfront work just to run one activity.

DayGuide AI exists to remove that friction for everyone, and give time back so caregivers — whether professional or family — can focus on what actually matters: being present with the people in their care.

AI + Human Care

DayGuide AI is designed to support caregivers — whether professional staff or a family member at home — not replace them. The magic happens when AI handles the logistics and humans handle the relationships.

The result is stronger engagement, better outcomes, and less burnout — for everyone involved in care.

Cognitive Support

Seniors — whether in a facility or at home — have different cognitive abilities, and one-size-fits-all activities do not work. DayGuide AI helps by generating adaptable activities suited to your loved one's or participant's abilities, supporting a range of cognitive levels including Alzheimer's and dementia, providing options for memory care, social engagement, and movement, and giving families at home the same quality of cognitive engagement tools that professional facilities rely on.

Real World Usability

This platform was built from real workflow, not theory, and it was designed for anyone caring for seniors — whether at a facility or at home. Everything is designed to reduce planning time for staff and families alike, simplify daily execution with no technical experience required, provide ready-to-use activities for any setting (facility or home), and fit naturally into how facilities operate and how families actually live.
